Monrovia Gateway

The Monrovia Gateway Project is intended to create a visually interesting point of entry to the cities main village on Myrtle Avenue. Monrovia has a rich history of residential architecture and continues to invest in its own development. When the first plots of land were sold, in 1886 prior to incorporation, future residents were promised that the city would plant 8,000 pepper trees along the cities streets. These trees have now matured and create cascading canopies along many of our streets.

The Gateway Project, while inspired by this history, has a dynamic element that is activated by residents and visitors as they move along the central corridor of the city.
